DRIVER/DELIVERY CO-ORDINATOR – Kitchens Direct NI, Templepatrick

Hours: 7.30am – 4.00pm Monday – Friday.  Overtime may be required but this is not a regular requirement.

Main Role and Responsibilites

The role of Driver/Delivery Co-Ordinator in the company is fundamental to the completion of all aspects of customer’s orders.

While the main role is that of a delivery driver who is responsible for ensuring every component is delivered to each customer to set deadlines, there are other duties including assisting in receipt of stock, checking components prior to delivery, assisting in general premises tidiness and assisting in the workshop or office should any tasks be required. 

An organised and motivated individual with good communication and initiative is essential to carry out this position within Kitchens Direct NI.

Responsibilities:

To Coordinate with Managers, Colleagues and Tradesmen to fulfil each customer order

To Communicate with the Managers, Customers and Tradesmen any relevant information that impacts on a customer’s order and work as part of the team to resolve all outstanding issues until the work is complete and the Customer is Satisfied. This includes passing on all feedback between Customers, Tradesmen, Management and Staff.

To Check all components of the order are ready 3 days in advance of delivery and when necessary act accordingly, ie: Follow up and obtain or confirm date of when all missing components are due to arrive to ensure they are on site ready for the customers delivery.

To maintain up to date records of all Specific Items delivered to Customer (Appliances, Sinks, Taps etc) on the Delivery Checklist

To ensure all Kitchens Removed and associated rubbish has either been placed in the skip or is removed safely and the area left clean.

To ensure all Customer Deliveries are made on time and complete (with pre-agreed omissions to follow) and duplicate journeys are kept to a minimum throughout Northern Ireland.

To Complete the Fitters checklist with the Fitter on Delivery of the Kitchen.

To Provide the completed Delivery and Fitters Checklists to the Office Manager within one week of the Customers order being completed.

To Maintain agreed levels of all Stock Components within your responsibility, ie all items required to complete customer order that do not require to be ordered in specifically for a particular customer.

To Maintain Stock in good and tidy order and complete all documentation on stock movement (receipts and usage) to ensure an up to date and accurate record of stock at all times.

To Ensure all returns from customers and tradesmen are obtained and on site for a returns request to be arranged and this is communicated to the Office Manager.

To Follow all Company Policies and Procedures.

To Maintain all Company Property in good order.

To Maintain all Company Vehicles including the cleanliness, weekly checking for safety and arranging servicing or repairs in line with company procedures.

To work with all colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the company and efficient completion of all customer orders.

To assist in the workshop in the edging and building of Units and other components (Training on all machinery will be provided)

To assist in the office when the need arises. 

Any other duties as required by Management for the smooth running of the business.

Kitchens Direct NI is an established and growing local company based in Templepatrick.   We Design, Manufacture and Install Kitchens and Bedrooms and we also Design and Install Bathrooms throughout Northern Ireland. 

A Full, Clean Driving Licence is essential.  Must be aged 25+ for insurance purposes.
